Uniting horse and human through bodywork

In the Gaelic language, "Anam Cara" means "soul friend."  In the Celtic tradition, horses are referred to as Anam Cara.  The purpose of our school is to assist you in developing and maintaining a deep soul connection with these incredible beings...the horses.  In the process, you'll develop the skills to give relief to the horses in the form of bodywork.  Techniques include massage, myofascial release, energy work, and intuitive development.

The Anam Cara method is a non-diagnostic, non-invasive soft tissue and energy discipline that focuses on the horse as a physical, emotional, and spiritual being.  On a practical level, it consists of hands-on bodywork techniques that assist the horse to relax, release restrictions in the body, and restore symmetry, balance, and harmony throughout the body.  By releasing restrictions in the muscle tissue, fascia, and energy pathways, the horse's innate healing power is maximized, pain and tension are reduced, and emotional balance is achieved.
